About
My main research interests are in Aesthetics and Value Theory, in particular: Moral Philosophy, Metaethics, Moral Particularism, Practical Rationality and related areas. I have also published work in Philosophy of Language, where I defend a radical form of semantic contextualism that I call Semantic Particularism.
Before coming to Glasgow I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stockholm University, with which I retain strong links. I also spent one month as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Missouri at St Louis. Before that I was an AHRC funded PhD student at the University of Reading where I worked with Jonathan Dancy on the epistemology of Moral Particularism, and also held a temporary lectureship in Philosophy until July 2010 (part time). Before that I did a postgraduate Research MA degree on the possibility of moral knowledge at the University of Leeds, where I also did my BA in Philosophy. I did my first undergraduate degree in Practical Philosophy at Stockholm University in Sweden.
