About
My principal research interest is focused on near-surface geophysics and geochemistry to survey archaeological sites. I am currently investigating the interaction of these two disciplines to understand the soil properties that influence the geophysical results at sites with low contrast between features and soil matrix and difficult superficial deposits. The overall aim is to develop pre-survey planning procedures in order to allow a more confident prediction of the most appropriate survey strategy at any given site.
I also have a particular interest in the application of geophysical surveys to detect burial sites for forensic, humanitarian and weapon searches. Moreover, I am involved with CTBTO (Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization) as a surrogate trainee inspector to carry out shallow geophysical surveys for on-site inspections (OSI).
