About my research project:

My research project investigates the relationship of Robert Fludd's thought, especially in his great work 'Utriusque cosmi majoris scilicet et minoris metaphysica, physica atque technica historia', to the seventeenth century's cultural world, particularly from a musical-philosophical perspective, but not only exclusively so.
Through the transcription, translation and commentary of the whole 'Utriusque...', as well of the Fludd's own compositions which are contained in a manuscript held by Yale University Library, it will explore in detail at which extent Robert Fludd was arguably one of the latest exponents of a harmonic conception of the world that, as William Huffman pointed out, died with him.
