About
My research is primarily focused on the acquisition of Scottish Gaelic by adult learners. Through analysis of a small cross-sectional corpus of learner language, I aim to establish how complexity, accuracy and fluency develop across different levels of proficiency, and also to examine which features of Gaelic syntax are available to learners at these different levels. I am using a construction-grammar-based, cognitive approach to L2 learning.
